Mike Michalowicz has a driving passion to work with entrepreneurs. It is his belief that anyone that has the desire, even a fleeting ‘what if’, has been touched by an inspiration that must be satisfied. Michalowicz founded Obsidian Launch with the sole purpose of giving first time entrepreneurs a partner in growing their concepts into industry leaders.
Michalowicz was founder and President of Olmec Systems, Inc., a regional computer network integrator, which he sold in 2002 through a private transaction. He subsequently co-founded and served as Managing Partner of PG Lewis & Associates, LLC , a national provider of data forensic services, which he went on to sell to a Fortune 500 in 2006.
Michalowicz is a reoccurring guest on CNBC’s nationally syndicated entrepreneurial television program, The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch. He was recognized as Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 1999 by the MCCC, New Jersey's Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the SBA in 2000, and is a 2004 graduate of MIT's “Birthing of Giants” Entrepreneurial Program. Michalowicz has been highlighted on entrepreneurial topics on National Public Radio (NPR), in Inc. magazine, and the New York Times.. Additionally, he is has been published internationally in magazines such as “Smart CEO Magazine” of the US, “WA Business News” of Australia, and “Sprout” of the Netherlands. He is publishing his first book, specific to young entrepreneurs, in the summer of 2008.
